Shoulda waited a bit I guess. I've burned 250 of the Riteks with no coasters. I'd highly recommend them to anyone.
Dude, you paid $45 for TY without rebate, thats a pretty decent deal. The Ritek deal is AR, and I dont think it is as hot as the TY deal that you got. And for the QUALITY, you bought the best media out there. Maxell might be on the same bar with TY. And if you like rebate, amazon also has the verbatim 8X, for $29.99 AR, free shipping and no tax for most states. And I would take verbatim over those Ritek any day.
I agree $45 for 100 TY is not bad at all. But what makes you think Verbatims are so much better than Riteks? Verbatim doesn't make its own discs, if you get MCCs you are good. If you get CMCs you are screwed. Trust me, I wouldn't take CMCs for free.
Actually, it's been reported on various media/firmware forums that Ritek has started using inferior dyes in their manufacturing process, and some think that this is what explains the sudden increase in reports of people having read/write problems with these disks.
I myself have had consistent problems with multiple batches of Ritek's G04 disks. All burn fine, but READING is where the problem occurs, as movies that i watch will experience freezing/skipping/pixellation . Now I don't have these problems with other brands, so i'll probably stay away from Ritek from now on and go with Fuji/Verbatim and its proven Azo dye. And of course there's TY, which i hear is among the best in quality.

"Verbatim DATALIFE are alleged to be the highest consumer grade available. These are the ones with Mitsubishi dye and very strict quality control.
Non-Datalife have CMC dye and production is outsourced to contract manufacturers.
TYs are also of very high quality but AFAIK the Datalife brand is the gold standard for consumers."
