I was impressed by this deal. I just ordered some Pioneer brand, but I wish this had come about last week.

This is as low as I've seen for quality 4X media since buying my DVD burner earlier this year.

Sorry but the TDK deal was much better. Also this price is nothing out of the ordinary. Its nearly $1.6 per disk which is definitely quite high.

I thought the TDK deal was for +R media. This is -R.
 
For those who want an opinion, I can tell you that Ritek has been excellent in my Pioneer A05. I have an Apex DVD player that is picky (would not play the Verbatim DVD's I used, and has had problems with the CompUSA brand), and it plays flawlessly with the Riteks. I have read on DVD burning forums that Ritek is one of the best to use for the Pioneer A05 and my experience bears that out.


Shout out to Good2Go, who once again proved that crapping on someone's Hot Deal is more fun than writing one. If they have their way, the crappers will eliminate all Hot Deal threads altogether, and just tell us how everything sucks.
 
good for Pioneer owners can burn 4X no problem....bad deal for sony dvd burner owners. Most likely they'll only burn at 2X. You've been warned.

nope it was for -R also. Target had 20 packs for 29.99. Great deal.
 
Isn't that TDK deal dead?

If not, I'd love to get some. If it's dead, could someone explain why it would be relevant here?

Huh, when you have seen me thread crapping? This deal is good for bulk (100+peices) but not that great for 50 pieces or below. Also given the fact that you did not even post the prices for the bulk media in the first place (heck you did not even post the URL), dont blame your stupidity on me.

You need to read up on this subject and come back when you have something of interest to say. Ritek 4X media for $1.60 is NOT a bad price, you idiot.
 
I've been looking for an okay price on riteks as these things kick ass! My sony dvp-s560d is EXTREMELY picky about the media, and will f-up (and not work for a brief moment) if I use any crap dvd-r, yet when I use Ritek it plays perfectly like a stamped dvd.
 
Ok kiddies play nice. Ritek's are top of the line, hence you should expect to pay more for them than other brands, I may get in on this deal as it is degrading using these crapusa discs @ 1x on my pioneer 105. Thanks for the heads up chief.
 
mrbass, I bought a 100 pack of these a week or 2 ago. They come up as Ritek G04 on DVD Info and burn fine at 4x on my Sony 500.
 
Ok buddy, lets see if we can find some comparable deals. There is a deal like this over here and over here as well. One of them has free shipping and I dont know about tax but you did not even mention those in your post oh great "elite member". The cost per disc is very comparable to your deal. If you think that a $5 discount is a hot deal, then I dont know what to say. Also the TDK's are 4X as seen over here. There might have been a deal on the 2X's as well but I am not aware of it.

So is your deal bad? NO!

Is your deal good? NO!

You basically have given us the price of Riteks in the market. If you cannot take positive criticism then this place is not for you. Get your facts straight before you flame other people to death. And still, you have not told me where else you have seen me thread crapping

I didn't know Hot Deals was supposed to be a competition. I'm glad you think so, because I wasn't aware of the two places you just listed. Even though they both are HIGHER, it's always good to know of other sources.

Now if it WERE a competition, you just showed me two deals (your first two links) which were MORE than what I listed after shipping. The deal I listed is free shipping. Your third link is to 100 TDK dvd's for $189. Feel free to buy 100 dvd's for $1.89 apiece if you want, I was showing people where they could get an actual HOT DEAL.

Now as for member status, you brought that up, I didn't. But perhaps one reason our member status is different just MIGHT be because I don't go into other people's Hot Deals threads with DUMBASS reasons why it's not really a good deal. Umm ok, let me go over this one more time, there is a difference of ONLY $5 over the other places. Also as I mentioned, one of them has free shipping. In addition, the TDK's were going at $130 as compared to what it is showing on the best buy website right now. I thought you have at least have the sense to use the search funciton, but oh well. Also I never flamed anyone in the first place, all I said was that it is not a spectacular deal but I guess no one is allowed to say that in YOUR thread.

As for your member status, the only reason I bought it up was because you lack the most basic skills that any elite member would have. You shout at anyone who has a different opinion and then assume so many things (my threadcrapping in other threads, TDK's price, price on shipping on the alternative sites blah blah) that it makes my head reel.
