reading comprehension is about the same

Wow, that would be amazing if Ritalin can increase reading comprehension. But unfortunately i don't think it does. If you don't understand the material, then you don't understand it. Drugs ain't going to help with that.

by comprehension i meant ability to realize what i am reading and remembering...as in NOT JUST SKIMMING OVER.

ADD doesn't exist. Kids who take Adderall just have sucky parents.

/puts on nomex bodysuit, jumps into bomb shelter, falls down stairs, closes door.

I got lucky as a kid. They said I have ADHD or course, since, get this, I was a kid with a lot of energy, who didn't pay attention in boring-a55ed classes! Anyway, they tried me on ritalin, but lucky for me, I turned out to have some kinda allergic reaction to it, thus no more of that crap.

In a way I'd have to agree on ADD being a BS diagnosis. It's nothing but doctors trying to change the way normal kids act... like kids. On a brighter note, i've noticed that ADHD/ADD persons tend to have more common sense and often more intelligence, compared to your typical bookworm.

That's better known as concentration.

Bah. can't comprehend without concentration. i can concentrate on the words very well, but it won't sink in, hence why i said comprehension. like, i can read it, say it back in a min or so, but it won't sink in. but yeah

ehh....see, the way i've always studied is like for tests, i would skim through my notes, or maybe read it. but if i was asked to tell what i read, i wouldn't know. i couldn't even think about it cuz i would draw a blank. but when the test came, i just knew. weird, isn't it?
