Risk

Modeps

Yesterday, two friends and I got together and played a variant of Risk called Godstorm. It's really REALLY good. We started at about 2pm and ended at 6:15pm. So many cool little variations on the gametype itself.

I know there is Risk 2210 and Risk: Lord of the Rings edition, but I havent played either. Has anyone played either of them, or know of another variant that's worth playing?

I lost the game by the way 🙁

Never heard of it, though it looks interesting. If you like good board games, check out one called Acquire. It is an older game, but has been re-released.

Saw the Star Wars edition of risk Friday night at that "Midnight Madness" thing. Actually, they seemed to have Star Wars everything branded (Trivial Pursuit, Sorry, Chess, Clue, etc.).

That looks pretty good, too bad it seems that every board game is like $40

<Triumph>Here they are playing Risk. This is a game normally played indoors.. By 12-year olds..</Truimph>

like the board game?

i recall that always ended in tears (usually some young cousin) when you broke alliances with them....

the right game?

There is an online free version of the game called "Mission Risk", great game. You can play online with several of your buddies, there are also public games available, and surprisingly, there are active members. I remember getting about 3 or 4 of my friends, and we played constantly.

This was several months ago, I'm not quite sure if it still has community it had when I played, but it was fun.
