Risk of cracking A64 core?

Hi all,

I'm going to setup my first Athlon 64 system in a day or so.

I've been reading about them, and the new heatsink device makes me a little nervous.

How much risk of damage is there using this new heatsink design? (i'm going to use the one included in the retail package) Is there anything important to keep in mind to prevent damage to the CPU?

Also, I have some Arctic Silver 2. Just want to make sure - is it ok to use that with an Athlon 64?

Thanks for any advice!!

cpu comes with an integrated heat spreader so there is no chance of cracking the core because the core is completely covered...

so you'll be fine...

As 2 should be fine as well

i just finsihed putting together my new AMD64 system over the weekend and i found that install the heatsink was extremely easier compared to my amdXP rig.
