Riser Card Hurt Performace?

I am going to build a suitcase mod...

And If my video card is too tall for the case, I would buy a Riser Card (Link)

This basically takes your card and turns it flat instead of sticking straight up.

Woud this hurt my card's overclocking ability or performance at all?

Thanks

the card shouldn 't hurt your performance. What would is heat build up in the suitcase. Make sure it has good ventilation and it should be fine.

You might see the slightest, and i mean MIGHT, see the slightest performance loss from using a riser card if looking to overclock, this being that the tracers are longer (or in this case extended) so the signal integrity could be degraded and thus impede you OC, but i shouldn't think that it would make that much of a difference.

so don?t worry .. the only thing you would have to keep in mind is the GFX card support, because depending what GFX card you use, and without adequate support it could break the riser card because of the weight bending it down, and if using in a suit case all of the movement (assuming using your suite case custom design 😉). One other point as pointed out before, is to make sure the heat is taken care off .. but this is normal practice anyway.

Good Luck 007 😉
