I know the tentative release date isn't until May of 2006, but I can't wait for Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends to come out!

C'mon, no one else is excited about this game?

Check out these links!

I loved Rise of Nations and Thrones & Patriots. I truly think RoN is one of the best RTS strategy series made. The earlier Civ games rival it, but the latter ones really mess up that series. Age of Empires is too "quick and easy" technology-wise. Command and Conquer was too limited (only 3 Empires to choose from??).

I am definately excited about this game. I couldn't wait for the original RoN to be released when I first saw it previewed in PC Gamer. Legends looks like it is going to be incredible, can't wait!

AOE3 will be great. Nothing between AOE2 and W3X was worth playing and nothing since W3X has been very stimulating. is this an add-on or a separate game this RoN RoL? Either way AOE3 better be great!

Rise of Legends is a completely new game. It is a mix between "magic" and "sci-fi", I think. Check out the links I posted in my second message, and there is one that has the "Official Trailer". It seems to have some futuristic fighting machines, as well as dragons flying around. I haven't had a chance to closely examine it, so my initial interpretation of the trailer could be off.

It's not like it hasn't been done before........and again and again and again. And you're keyed up a year in advance. Sheesh, there is a bazillion RTSs out there just like it for you to chew on.

Ok editted my post - maybe I was a little harsh....

I know it's done before, but not with the Rise of Nation engine. And I know it's early, but I REALLY liked the previous two RoN games.

I too am looking forward to it. I love the style in RoL. Combine that with the gameplay of RoN and you'll have something special.

I'm also looking forward to AOE3 (was a BIG AOE2 fan, and ES rocks), Supreme Commander (who can't be excited about the spiritual sequel of Total Annihilation?) and even that Star Wars RTS. (come on, it's about time we've had a good 3D SW RTS)

Great call, how could I forget about the new Star Wars RTS??? A friend of mine was so excited about the movie, he left work early to go see it on the day after opening day. Then he called me and gave me a freakin' half-hour synopsis of the movie!

So yeah, I added those two to the poll.
