Ony my walk between classes today it came to me....Rise Against is a LOT like Bad Religion in their music. Sure the vocals are extremely different, but that is to be expected between bands. I am beginning to like their music the same way I have always loved Bad Religion's. They have very similar ideas in their lyrics, and, while not as popular, still remain on top. Anyone else agree?

LOL, Propaghandi is still around? I remember seeing them play at a youth center in the Marigny in NOLA years ago. They were butt naked.

you do pose a good point (minus the propaghandi :p)...I guess it is similar interests between bands that I like....but it was weird today how I was all of a sudden like "wow....these two bands are VERY similar"

Dont get me wrong, I love what Bad Religion did for punk, but after a while ALL of their stuff sounds the same. Hell, when the lead singer of your band is a veritable genius (Literally, the dude double majored at and proceeded to get his Masters at UCLA then got his Doctorate at Cornell) you've gotta have some rockin' things to say. ;)
