Ripples and waves when moving/adjusting monitor.

I recently got a LED LCD monitor. I didn't know when I ordered it that it's a slim model, but I figured that shouldn't be a problem and kept it. However whenever I move or adjust it, waves and ripples scatter across the surface as though I just punched it right in the screen. I only lightly touch what little bezel there is, but it seems really delicate, and like the screen extends all the way into the bezel as though when pressure is applied it extends over the whole viewing area.

Could this lead to pixel damage or warpage?
