Ripplehost problem w/user name and password

A couple of weeks ago I decided to start my own web page. I read a lot of other post and from what I could figure out namecheap.com and ripplehost would be a good choice for me. Well $13.87 later I'm up and running. I was so excited, to the point I didn't write down my user name and password. The very next day my computer got made at me and threw a hissy-fit and I had to reformat the whole thing. I use MS outlook so I lost my welcome email from ripplehost. I email the admin and haven't goten a reply, I went to the technical help place and it is a form basicaly, and I would like to finsh my website but can't get to the cpanel. Anyone have a sugestion? Do I have to buy a new service for 4.99 to get a new password? Or will that even work. Like I said I'm new and don't know much about this yet and any direction will be appricated.

I think it's worse than you think. Contact Alan at Ripplehost and see if he can dig up that password. I doubt it. Now they have you listed as being hosted there, so you won't be able to register that domain again. Try Find My Hosting for a new cheap host.
 
I did email Allen and he hasn't returned my email yet. So if he can't find my user name and password I'll have to find a new host altogether? I still we be able to use my domain name right? If he can't find it does any one recommend one that is fairly easy to use and maybe one that can give technical help? thanks
 
Hah! For $5.00 you want support? He won't find it I bet. Just be prepared to move on.

Edit: Damn, I don't know about the details of using that same name, sorry.

I was pretty sure he wouldn't but I wanted to check. I will probably go with a little better site next time. I searched through the link you gave me and I think I'm going with dr2.net. It looked ok and they said they offer an actual help desk. 15.00/yr but I would gladly pay that for some help everyonce in a while.
 
Maybe I'll join you. I had a screwed up registration at RippleHost, that couldn't be set straight. Fortunately, my domain name was never actually registered there.

If you're still looking for another webhosting provider I would consider e-rice.net for $9.99/yr or HostPC.com (which has a sale that ends today).
