ok, so here are the files dvdshrink put on my computer:

vts_01_1.vob
vts_01_0.bup
video_ts.bup
video_ts.ifo
vts_01_0.ifo

i don't need any of the other junk besides the .vob file, right?

im not looking to burn these to dvd. im just pulling off certain sections to save as video clips.

also, is it ok to leave it as a .vob file or is it better to convert to another format?

and yes, i own the dvds. but they are full concerts and i never have time to sit down and watch the entire dvd, so i wanted to have some of the better performances on my computer.

If all you're doing is saving video and not burning a true DVD, you don't need anything except the .vob's. It's okay to leave as .vob if you have the hard drive space. They're huge though and eat up space quickly. I'd suggest you convert to some other format like a high bitrate divx .avi
