ripping audio from a video file

If you have Winamp you can use it as well.
Options->Preferences->Plug-ins->Output
Select Nullsoft Disk Writer plug-in and mess with the settings as much as you have to.
Push play and it will create the file. If you use winamp regularly make sure you change the Output back to DirectSound or whatever when you're finished.
 
the only issue i'm having is that i'm looking to get audio from a .swf file and am having trouble figuring out the best way.

i'm actually looking to get the audio to "peanut butter jelly time" in case someone happens to have it

Did a quick search, found it here.
 
Heres what you do.
Open the video file, play the video segment you want the audio sound from. As your playing that segment you rip the audio from the video with the use of a microphone held up very close to your speaker and windows sound recorder.

Actually I used Altavista's Audio/Mp3 search. The only time I won't use google, heh.
