when I play an audio CD using AudioCatalyst or EAC, I get both audio channels played correctly. however, when I rip the CD to a WAV file, I only get audio from the left channel (no right channel audio). this happens with both AudioCatalyst v2.1 and EAC v0.9 prebeta 7 software programs on both of my CDROM drives (48x US Drives and 4/2/24 HP 8110i). with EAC, if I select the "swap channels" option, under Drive Options -> Drive, I still only get audio from the left channel (no right channel audio). so where is my right channel audio going?
as this happens with both drives and on both software programs, I assume it must be a hardware problem. I have an Abit KT7-RAID motherboard with both CDROM drives connected to the regular VIA ATA/66 IDE ports, each with a separate IDE channel. I am using Windows 98 SE. I can give more complete stats, but I didn't want to overpost in case the fix is really simple (to someone else, of course).

edit: nevermind. problem has been solved.
I had checked the "waveout" balance level before I wrote this post, and it was in the middle, but apparently I had failed to check the "wavetable" balance level. it was all the way to the left. duh... simple solution to an overlooked problem.
