I purchased a dirtbike engine from this chief in Canada (Toronto to be exact.) While surfing another BBS, I find the same post, and information that tells me he has sold the same part twice. Upon contacting the other person, I found out that both of us sent him money for the same item. After countless emails, and private messages, which he wont respond to, I setup a fake email account and messaged him about another part he had for sale. He messaged me right back stating that he had the engine. I then responded, well why did you sell the same engine to me and another guy? I havent gotton a reply yet.

You probably don't want to post any contact information for the folks. Regardless of whether or not you got ripped off, don't post the information publicly.

As to what you can do...

not go back to Canada. :p

Thats probably the last thing I want to do. I just want my money back. I dont want to sue because it will take forever.

And cost you a lot. In which case you'll either end up with your money back, or a REALLY expensive item :p

Isn't Dudley Doright a Mountie? I bet they can help. At least they helped back in the 80's when they kicked in doors to arrest warez pirates.

File a fraud complaint with your local police department. They should contact the Toronto Metropolitan Police Fraud Department on your behalf and take it from there. IIRC, the Toronto Fraud Department will fax a complaint form to your local police, which upon being filled out, will be returned to them so an investigation can begin.
