Ripped off- how do I send certified email??

Bear with me. I got ripped off by an online vendor. There have been no replies to any of my emails. My question:

How do I verify that this a$$ is even getting my emails. Is he deleting them w/o a care or does the address even exit.

Currently I am using Netscape composer for email, I do have outlook express ready to go too. The local phone co is my ISP.

Any thoughts or help appreciated.

You could try read receipts, but that's not a very good way because it just verifies that the message was displayed on the screen. The reader might have turned his head away and moved on to the next message, but you will still get the receipt. Hope this helps, and best of luck to you in your situation!

If you paid by credit card number, call the credit card institution and dispute the charges. The CC company will back you up.

I don't know that read receipts by e-mail hold any water in court as of yet. You can use certified or registered regular mail, though.

Thanks c0rv1d43, you are a god. I called the CC company and they are crediting me, just fill out the form and send it back.

BTW the last emails that I sent yesterday came back as email acct no longer valid. Imagine that.

Read Receipts suck in OE, they dont work like the old way.
Now what happens (At least in IE-6 version) it ASKS if you want to send a return receip to the user...so you can just say no and they are none the wiser...kind of stinks!
