I've been trying to cash out my account at www.onlinesportsbook.com and they are giving me the run around. Say they must return funds through the same source from which they were sent (paypal) and Paypal is ceasing business with all internet casinos. Don't know what to do.

Is there a regulatory agency or something? Who can I call? This casino has head office in Montreal and is a public company (except their stock is almost worthless I just found out)

Terms of Service:
12. Dependent on credit card and banking regulations, withdrawals are processed as credits to credits cards, up to the equivalent of the total outstanding deposits. We may not be able to process credits to some card types, in which case verification documentation is required before the cashout is issued. If deposits have been made via FirePay, NETeller or PayPal we will first credit back any funds to the corresponding account that was used to make the deposits. Net winnings are sent in the form of a corporate check. Verification documentation is required before a corporate check will be issued.

Threaten to report them to the Internet Gaming Commision, and if that doesn't help then report them and try to get them on the blacklist. I'd contact Paypal and see if they will do anything for you, like allow a transaction from them.

All transactions and wagers placed, shall be considered originating from and governed by the laws of Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic.

hahaha good luck!

I thought I read in the paper that once Ebay bought Paypal, Paypal is not going to deal with online casinos anymore. Not sure if this takes affect right away or when....

Don't play online casinos. Besides that, always remember, if you do, you are gambling twice. One, which is the no brainer, on whether you can win, but worst is the issue of whether you will be paid. No thank you. Gambling is bad business for the most part, as with a casino, the more you play, the more you pay. God forsaken, if you happen to win something, there is no arm of government here, that guarantees you will be paid. (As I understand it, most online- casinos are conveniently located out of any US jurisdiction). Just say no!

Also, if you cannot collect this, just write it off and make a vow never to do this again. Internet Gaming Commission? Get real! I can almost 100% assure you, it's a phony confidence (read con) building scheme. I doubt there is any such entity that has any meaningful power over these cretins.

Gee! Ripped off by an online gambling site! Who would have ever thought that could possibly happen? If you're surprised about getting screwed, then you shouldn't gamble at all. After all, you seem to have a problem with seeing when are odds are so far out of your favor it's sick. You want a casino that pays out if you win, go to a real one!!!

How do you even know you can win any substantial money at the online casinos? Is it just their word?

I once won $195 bucks on a baseball parlay after I took up some casino spam that offered me 10 free bucks to gamble with. Doesnt have anything to do with this, but there are legit online casinos out there.

Anyway, good luck getting your money.

People who play online casinos for profit look for deals where you get free money for making a deposit.

For example...

Let's say they offer $50 free if you put in 500. As long as their payout percentage exceeds 90%, you stand to win over $500 if you play perfect strategy blackjack using small bets.

Some people make a fair amount of money, but IMHO it's too much effort and too little reward to be worth it.

I had the same damn problem. I once played vegas style solitaire for 6 hours straight. At one point I was down like $342, but eventually battled my way up to nearly $428. I am still trying to get those bastards at microsoft to credit my paypal account.

Follow Up -
Last night I picked up $790 at Western Union - this is what the casino owed me.

What happened - onlinesportsbook.com was bought out by olympic sports and during the due diligence period, all payouts were frozen. (I would have never known this but for jjsole's suggestion that I contact the internet gaming commission). Upon completion of the buyout and I had to transfer my account to the new company. I then requested a cashout and received my funds the same day. I'm happy now.

Thanks for the help guys,
