Not sure if this is appropriate for this forum, but since it's for my car I thought I'd try. There are some holes in my leather driver seat. The whole is big enough that the foam from within the seat is coming out.

What would be the best way for me to fix this? Getting the leather seat fixed? Finding a replacement at the junkyard? Having the dealer replace it?

How much do you think it could cost?

Depends on what you're trying to do. Just patch work, or proper fix with blending or whatever. Post pics, will help others on here give you a better sense of how much work it would be.

Heck, duck tape will do the trick too. 😛

What car? Depending on the model, you may find it cheaper to grab a seat from a junkyard car.

What is your budget?

From least to most expensive:

duct tape and seat cover method
upholstry shop hole patch
junkyard seat
upholstry shop seat rebuild
dealer replacement :'(

I'd stitched up seats by hand before on cars that were old enough I didn't really care. You want good or cheap? To do it right you'll probably have to pull the covers off and glue a patch to the back. Then you usually fill in the hole with a color matched vinyl and iron with a patterned sheet.

I had some movers drop a leather sofa several feet onto concrete. It didn't rip, but it was scratched deeply in a few places. A leather repair guy came and within 15-30 minutes had mixed some brown goop to color match the sofa. He put it on the scratches and it looks like new. I bet they could do the same with a rip...
