Ripped Ipod Headphones

Does anybody know how to repair them? I had found them(the chord) completely sliced in half, so I decided to try and connect the corresponding wires to one another and they still didn't work. Any tips?

Buy new ones. Even busting out a soldering iron will not make the connection strong.

Well, I had the Sharp MD33's, which they were later rebranded into this, and Sennheiser CX-300 (IIRC), but the CX-300's are modified, while Creative's are not...

They have decent bass, and really good highs, and medium is good too. IMHO they are better than EX-71's.
