Not a real simple answer. A 700 meg disk can hold as much video as you want. I depends on what quality you want and how much time you want to spend encoding it. Using TMPGEnc 2 pass VBR HQ MPEG2 encoding, and 96K audio, I can squeeze 1 Hr of good quality video on one 700 Meg CDR.
