Never mind, i found it. The Talented Mr Ripley (matt damon).

that's what threw me. John Malchovich plays Mr Ripley in this one.

yep, The Talented Mr. Ripley, directed by Anthony Minghella, who also directed The English Patient and the recent Cold Mountain.

i'm watching it as i type.

it's ok. to be honest i was bored with "The Talented Mr Ripley".

if i had remembered the name of the Prequel before picking this movie up at Blockbuster, i probably wouldn't have bothered with it.
