my 2005 mazda3 (200k miles) has transmission problems.
I can only do 1st + 2nd gear, and max like 25mph.

I have both a CEL and AT (transmission) lights on dashboard.
Cel is po762- Shift Solenoid 'C' Stuck On.
car revs when I went into 3rd gear but car didn't go faster.
turned it off/on and now Im in limp mode (2nd gear max).

I drained/filled the tranny fluid, and disconnected the battery.
within a mile of driving, got both the CEL and AT light again. :(

so going to rent a car and go looking for another car.
cheapest way to get rid of my car?

check rockauto for teh price..

its not a cheap fix but you maybe able to get it fixed and run it for a while saving up for a new car. I'd say about 700 bucks to fix.

Cheapest/easiest way to get rid of a car is to call a parts yard and see how much they'll give you for the car, and then tell them to come get it.
