I liked Hidden Figures. It was not a GREAT movie, but the story does not lend itself to an impressive script. Also, it's not really a "black empowerment" or "girl empowerment" film, they were great "because they were great". Just a bunch of people sticking together and training themselves to do a difficult job that didnt even exist the week prior. It could apply to anyone in any racial, or gender, or social profile.
What is important is to know that these ladies were a very important part of the operation; they existed, but because they did not have a leading role (hence the name of the film) they will often be ignored.

Great movie about a great person. I’ve watched it several times. I need to watch it again.
