At least £1,000 was spent to change the Bentley's B winged insignia to Jessica's initals JL.

Then Ireland spent a further £2,000 on customised red leather seats with the romantic message 'To Jess Love From Stephen' stitched into them surrounded by a heart shape.

A further £5,000 went on modified bright red alloy wheels rims has Jessica's initials.

That probably could be a Chrysler 300 + body kit + custom seats for maybe $20k and she wouldn't know the difference.
 
It would have been cheaper to order custom rims as opposed to modify the rims.

How can it cost £1000 to change the logo????

According to the article he makes 70,000 a week, I think he could could care less about that amount of money.
 
Well, it looks like the replies are good examples of showing how much soccer is not popular here. Stephen Ireland is one of top players at Manchester City, was chosen the Senior Player of the Year for the last season and also a member of Ireland national team. When he renewed his contract in May, he was granted 75,000 pounds a week.

If I were such skilled player with such money, I may do the same, if not more. Maybe customized Enzo or Veyron? lol but who cares since I like it and have money to do it.
 
He should have spent it on plastic surgery for his gf. Or maybe a paper bag.

Not sure which is worse - the gf or the car.

Eh, it doesn't look any worse than the wannabes running around locally in Civics, Cavaliers, Eclipses, etc. with dozens of decals, stickers from performance parts manufacturers, and glowy lights coming out of everywhere.

It sure cost a ton more though. 😛

I know 🙂 That's why I said "replies" not OP as it looks like several people posted above my initial reply underestimate the soccer players' pays. I just wanted to say that if you are in such financial situation, you can do whatever you want to do. But I agree, money can't buy you class.
