I heard on the news that Atari is finally completely gone. Anyone know the details? I know it's been "gone" for a long time.

EDIT: This was on CBS-NY radio news at 7:45-ish this morning, and I figured you guys would know all about it. I haven't found any other information, but I'm working and haven't looked all that hard. Sorry to mislead or otherwise annoy anyone - just wanted to find out what the h*ll they were talking about.

Never owned anything Atari, but that's a shame... I know the company was absolutely huge back when.

RIP Atari 🙁

You got a link that they are RIP? Seems hard to believe since they have been releasing a bunch of games nowdays. Unreal 2, Neverwinter Nights, Stuntman, Test Drive, Godzilla, Splashdown, Terminator, MX Rider, and Transworld Surf are all Atari products.

Not to forget, they released their "Atari Anniversary Edition" of arcade games for the PC a few years back. It was only $10 worth of software, but playing astroids was awesome!
