Sad situation.
Wear seat belts, folks. Cabs or limos aren't immune from accidents or laws of physics.

Yeah the movie was quite something. It had me wondering what was real and not real in Nash's perceptions. The movie did well in leading on the viewer in that way.

How the hell do you lose control of a crown vic trying to pass someone driving in the center lane of the NJTP? The road is crowded, but there at least three lanes and a lot of shoulder in most places. There has to be more to it. I'd guess he was surprised and over-corrected.

Proves to me that even the most brilliant matured minds have blind spots, including nonsensical decisions that truncate their lives. 2015 Darwin Award recipients? RIP

By being a cab driver. Cab drivers around here are the worst.

Yeah, apparently the driver of the taxi survived, but Nash and his wife were reportedly not wearing seatbelts and therefore completely ejected from the vehicle.

I don't know anyone that wears seatbelt on taxis.

That sucks. I also read they weren't wearing seatbelts. Not that I road in taxis much, but I used to never wear them because I didn't think I "had to."

People always assume that they are "safe" without having to buckle in. Unfortunately it's too late by the time "accidents" like this happen to them. :( RIP.

Elderly people may be worried about the seatbelt breaking their ribs.

You don't get a Darwin award at 86.

I'm more likely to wear a seat belt if I have to trust someone elses driving rather than mine.

Ejected from Taxi.

Make sure all people in front and back wear seatbelts.

Even if there is one person that doesn't wear one, during an accident they'll be a rag doll and fuck everyone else up.

Damn, that's horrible. I think Nash still walked from his home to his office on campus, every day. :(

And if they ever happen to be a situation where the seatbelt might break their ribs, they're likely to break their face instead.

I use mine EVERY time I drive, I got into the habit when I drove a tiny escort for years. The car I drive now will start chiming annoyingly if the seat-belt isn't fastened. If I'm in a cab I'm EXTRA sure to wear one, if I can't find it or it's broken I'm not going anywhere, too many beat-down old cars and too many careless taxi drivers to not be buckled up.
