Rio Volt car adapter problem...

Hello,

I got new Rio Volt , and got some car adapter for it from RadioShack , but the problem is that when I plug it in , it gives too much noise in the speakers ; ( .... what's the problem here ? any solutions to it ? b/c I can't run it on the batteries all the time ; (
