Rio Cali Transfer Speeds

How long should it take to transfer a whole audio CD to one of those little Rio Cali USB devices? It takes about 5 minutes total for me on a 2.8GHz P4, 512MB WinXP machine. Does this sound normal? The time includes the ripping & encoding of the audio tracks as well as the transfer of those resulting MP3 files to the Rio Cali.
