compusa has the music duo (hp 9100 cdrw + rio 500) for $179.

that's hotter than just a rio. may quality you for both hp and rio's rebates (if hp's one still around)

How many people have gotten back the $50 Rio rebate by sending in the HP Digital Duo receipt? I sent mine in late April not expecting it to go through, but who knows, I might end up with $50 in a few weeks. In any case, I sold the HP drive for $120, so the $70 I paid for the Rio ain't too shabby.

It took a looooooong time to get my Rio 500 rebate. I was actually going to call them when on that very day the rebate in question miraculously appeared in my mailbox.

I got my rio 500 (which is phat btw) for about $200 from amazon 8 months ago. Got the $50 rebate about 3-4 months later. I was bummin that I wouldn't get it, but lo and behold it showed up. It's a great mp3 player, especially with an extra 64 mb sm card. all in all, you get a 128mb player, usb, for around $200. thats the price of a nomad II 54... you do the math.

If any of you are interested, I have a brand new Rio 500 64MB for $130 + $5 shipping. No need to wait for rebates and all. I bought it to go workout, but I've only been to the gym 5 times in the last 1 year so I have not even touched the Rio yet.

My Best buy has the rio at $120 clearance...

Your mileage may vary....

But 120 plus tax - 50 would be $80 or so

there was a Number to call RIO and submit your rebate over the phone.... since we are coming up on July 1 here... Does anyone know it?

Try 877-776-4005. I bought my Rio 500/Duo from HP's site back on April and got the $50 rebate last week.
