As a percussionist, I get annoyed when people refer to a "badum-tshhh" cheesy joke ending as a "rimshot."
THIS IS COMPLETELY WRONG.
A rimshot is when a drumstick strikes the drum head and rim at the same time, which shocks the shell at the same time that the heads are resonating, thus producing a much louder and usually higher pitched sound.
What you hear at instantrimshot.com is NOT a rimshot.
