whats a good site to look at rims. i'm looking a picking some up.

Burn in hell.

What'd he say to deserve that?
Apparently, trying to improve his car forces him into a life of eternal damnation.

Anyone thinking rims on a PT cruiser is an improvement *also* must burn in hell. Matter of fact, rims on almost any car should be considered a sin.

I said it for the above reason

It can be done tastefully, yes, hence my "almost any" clause.

However, the vast majority of people screw it up. The problem is incongruity - the vehicle screams "I SPENT TOP DOLLAR ON THE RIMS, BUT NOT THE REST OF THIS THING!"

Either do it right all the way, or leave it be.

Frankly, a car like a PT I wouldn't bother. It's not a bad vehicle, but it's not noteworthy either. I have not added a single (non-stereo) after-market part to my 1996 Accord because I do not wish to look silly for attempting to draw attention to my distinctly average car. "HEY! LOOK AT ME! I'M....NORMAL!"

i see your point, but just want a set of nice looking rims,. not any thing flashy.

Then you have my blessing, go with Allah/God/Buddah/Shiva/Gates.

My Advice: Look for and alloy of brushed aluminum finish. Chrome is often too flashy and sticks out from the rest of the vehicle. Get something that is understated enough to look stock-like, but nice enough to be pleasing to the eye.

if rims are an ansolute necessity for the OP, this is good advice.

It means he's got some nerve, crapping on somebody's car, when he doesn't even own one! He'll probably end up "tuning" a used Corolla anyway, so he's REALLY out of line here!

After piddling through tire-rack for a few minutes, I've found a few that are, IMHO, largely inoffensive:

Kazera KZ-B:
http://www.tirerack.com/servlet/CallJsp...lterSize=&filterFinish=&filterSpecial=

-Of these three, I think these are decidedly the best. Smooth lines, light grey paint finish. They appear to say "I appreciate things that look pleasant, but I need not replace my penis with wheels."

ASA JS1:
http://www.tirerack.com/servlet/CallJsp...lterSize=&filterFinish=&filterSpecial=

AT Italia Riva:
http://www.tirerack.com/servlet/CallJsp...lterSize=&filterFinish=&filterSpecial=

On that last batch - those rivets around the wheel are bothering me, but they may not put you off.

Your call. Those are a few I could find that I would recommend to a friend.

I spent the last 3 weeks driving a 2005 PT Snoozer rental car, what an absolute piece of shiat. Going from my Toyota to this thing felt like going from a nice mountain bike to a big wheel (Toyota was in for body work - hail damage).

Wow and I thought I was an a$$hole. Whatever he does with his car is his thing. If you like it or not who cares, it's his car for crying out loud...

Yeah really, I got the same flak while searching for wheels for my mom's car.

Here is problem number 1: you came to a forum full of nerds to ask about a car 2: People here have their own tastes in cars and its obviously not like yours and mine 3: Why seek approval from anyone but yourself?

To me, any car (aside from a festiva like car) can stand some improvement from stock. If you prefer to put nice wheels on your car, then do it.

When you start to care what other people think... thats when you may as well give them your lifes ambition and let them spit and jump up and down on it.

He came to find out a website to look for rims. Most of the people here are just a bunch of assholes.

OP-go to a PT Cruiser Forum and see if they have any special deals. You can also check out how they look on someone else's car. Don't mind most of the pricks here:)

I'd agree with that, but that doesn't mean when we see it, we're not allowed to snicker.

I have no idea what kind of rims the OP is looking for so I have no reaction to whatever.
