what do you drive??
I'm going to guess that his mommy & daddy didn't buy him a car yet.

BTW, doesn't Chrysler offer decent stock wheels for that thing?

Burn in hell.

What'd he say to deserve that?
Apparently, trying to improve his car forces him into a life of eternal damnation.

Anyone thinking rims on a PT cruiser is an improvement *also* must burn in hell. Matter of fact, rims on almost any car should be considered a sin.

I hate the bling bling wheels as well. But then most stock wheels are ugly anyway. Economical cars come with crappy wheel covers and generic wheels. Though there are rims out there (alloy) that look pretty cool with wider tires.

It can be done tastefully, yes, hence my "almost any" clause.

However, the vast majority of people screw it up. The problem is incongruity - the vehicle screams "I SPENT TOP DOLLAR ON THE RIMS, BUT NOT THE REST OF THIS THING!"

Either do it right all the way, or leave it be.

Frankly, a car like a PT I wouldn't bother. It's not a bad vehicle, but it's not noteworthy either. I have not added a single (non-stereo) after-market part to my 1996 Accord because I do not wish to look silly for attempting to draw attention to my distinctly average car. "HEY! LOOK AT ME! I'M....NORMAL!"

Then you have my blessing, go with Allah/God/Buddah/Shiva/Gates.

My Advice: Look for an alloy or brushed aluminum finish. Chrome is often too flashy and sticks out from the rest of the vehicle. Get something that is understated enough to look stock-like, but nice enough to be pleasing to the eye.

Between 5 and 7 spokes is best. Anything more is too busy, anything less shows too much brake assembly.
