yes, but so is the simpsons, and seinfeld. my point? it doesnt have to be 100% real to be entertaining. the storyline might be fake, but a lot of the moves definitly are not. of course most of hte punching and kicking is, but you cant fake falling from 20 feet onto a table, and breaking a tale bone while suffering whiplash in which you can still experience the pain just by watching replays of it, now can you?
To the West Coasters or those who missed it, here's what happened:
Immediately after the finish, Foley comes to the ring, and doesn?t accuse Rock, in a swerve. Instead, he points out at Rikishi. Rikishi hadn?t been introduced in the WWF, but Scotty said he was backstage, despite not debuting yet, the car was set up for an extra large person, etc.
Rikishi: ?I did it. I ran over Austin. You ask why? I didn?t do it for me. No, I didn?t for me, I did for the Rock. You see, Rock, I took your keys, out of your bags, that night, when I went to go check into the hotel. And when I jumped into the car, I saw SCSA standing in the middle of a parking lot, all alone. And suddenly, everything flash right through my eyes.
You see the WWF, has always been all about the great white hope, and I?m talking about such people as Buddy Rogers, people like Bruno Sammrinito, people like Bob Backlaund, people like Hulk Hogan (big reaction), and now, people like Stone Cold Steve Austin.
You see, the WWF has always let the island boys in, but we were always held back. Now listen to me Rock, and I really want you to listen to me, and I?m talking about people like your grandfather, a well respected man, Peter could?ve become a WWF champion, but no, they held him back. People like Jimmy ?Superfly? Snuka (big reaction), could?ve been a WWF champion, but no, they held him back. And people like Afa and Sika (slight reaction), Samu and the Tongan kid, they were all held back. So you see Rock, I ran SCSA over and I did this for you. I don?t expect any favors from you Rock, no, I don?t expect any favors or any payback.
I want the people around the world to know the Rock didn?t have anything to do with this, I take full responiblity. You know Rock, just you being who you are today, is good enough for me and our people.
And before we go, one more time, I ran over SCSA, and to tell the truth, I?d do it again.?

They had all the Internet sites guessing wrong on this one. A lot of people thought it would be HBK, but the WWF definitely through a curve on this one.

So here are my thoughts/predictions...
Rock will go pro-Samoan and anti-American, and will lead a force to bring his heritage be recognized in the WWF. This is going to then lead to WM2k1 with a blowoff match of Rock vs. Austin, the dream match of the biggest face in the history of the WWF, against what may be the biggest heel in the WWF.
For the long time fans you may remember back to WMVII, where a pro Iraqi Sgt. Slaughter (during the time of the Persian-Gulf War) went up against Hogan, in a big patriotic battle.
So yeah, this is definitely some interesting stuff, will give Rock a much deeper character, and should receive media attention with the whole racism thing, leading up to what the WWF hopes will be the BIGGEST PPV EVER, in WM2k1.

At first I thought it would be Billy Gun but when he returned I knew it wasn't him.
Then I kinda thought that HBK might be it, but not really.

And there's FORESHADOWING~! as well! On Smackdown a few weeks back (or was it last week), Rikishi nailed Kane to save Rocky the title...
Raw didn't come on in Toronto... TNN had some Starsky and Hutch or something and TSN had HOCKEY!
Yea TSN has hijacked the TNN feed, RAW is on TNN but somehow TSN has got their balls in it and are preventing us from seeing the TNN feed. TSN and the CRTC suck major a.s.s. when it come to things like this. I just hope that the WWF cans TSN once and for all, write to the WWF and let them know. those motherfck..s they can show someone full of blood and being killed for real on the 6PM newscast but they have to bleep the word a.s.s. out of an entertainment broadcast at midnight. Did I say that TSN and CRTC suck major a.s.s. well they do. Like Jack Nickelson once said "it's ok to see a breast being slashed by a sword but you can't show it being carressed" Welcome to the insanity of canadian censorship and than you CRTC motherfu..ers
