Nuno Bettencourt is an amazing guitar player who was in the 80's rock group Extreme. Their BIG hit was More Than Words. They also had other hits such as Hole Hearted, Kid Ego, Get the Funk Out, and Decadence Dance.

It was a surprise to me that he has toured with Rihanna since 2009.

In November 2009, Bettencourt announced that he would be touring with Barbadian singer Rihanna on her Last Girl on Earth Tour as lead guitarist, having appeared alongside her in several TV shows and other performances. He has since performed as Rihanna's lead guitarist on every subsequent tour, including her Loud (2010), 777 (2012) and Diamonds World (2013) tours, respectively.

I don't know what to think. He's a very talented musician. It's great to see him on stage again, and I bet he gets paid very well.

Did he sell out, or is he just taking advantage of a great opportunity to tour and make great money?

He has bills to pay like everybody else.
And he will be recognized and perhaps to do the guitar section for more songs of other stars, i guess. Maybe Justin Bieber might team up.

LOL! Selling out.

I swear the idiots only want their favorite artist to starve and create music just for them to enjoy, all the while decrying any sort of commercial success the artist may want or enjoy. They only want starving artists and heaven help them if they ever, ever attempt to make more than a buck on their music. Sheesh.

Their favorite "starving" artist has a bit of music showing up in a commercial....instant cries of "Sell out!"

The artist's music shows up in a movie....."Sell out!"

I just wonder why so many people hate musicians ever benefiting monetarily from their own creations?

Any musicians you've ever heard of has sold out long before you got their album. And, this guy isn't even famous. I consider myself at least somewhat knowledgeable on notable guitarists, and this guy isn't one.

He's an amazing guitar player. He isn't as famous as Eddie Van Halen, but that doesn't mean that he isn't just as good.

Was Eddie Van Halen a sell out when he wrote the riff for Michael Jackson's beat it?

Are Steven Tyler and Joe Perry sellouts because they made a cover with Run D.M.C.?

Unless somebody has spent their career being vocally against <something> for whatever reason, they can't be considered a sellout just for doing something you don't approve of, and in this case for a fairly petty reason.
