Right time to put on snow tires?

Two wks ago and we had our first blizzard two days after that
I ususally get bugged about putting them on mid Oct but if you wait til the first snowfall its too late and trying to book time in the tire shop is nuts!.
too often guys say 'I never needed them til today' yes thats right you put them on so they are there the day you really need them :shocked:

Eh, I do it myself. If you can change a spare tire (god forbit you can't), you can change all four.
