Right power supply for GIGABYTE GA-K8NF-9 ?

Hi guys,

I just ordered an GIGABYTE GA-K8NF-9 motherboard through newegg.com. I'm pairing it with a Athlon 64 3500+ (130nm) processor and an nVidia 6600GT PCI-e card.

I'm not going nuts with other peripherals: two ATA HDDs, a DVD writer, and several case fans. I'd like the ability to expand beyond this to a moderate degree without needing a new PS.

Can anyone tell me just how many Watts are required by a power supply for this?

I'm tempted to pick up an Antec NewPower 480 or True480 but I can't tell whether or not they supply enough juice for my setup. Is the only truly safe choice something like an Antec
True550 EPS12V?

Thanks,
Christian

If you check zipzoomfly, they have a better price on the Antec Neo power supply. That would power your system just fine. Otherwise a Fortron Blue Storm power supply would also work for cheaper, but it isn't modular like the antec.

I got the 500 watt Blue Storm at mwave for 75 bucks.

Its excellent and had sata, 24 pin and a ton of xtra connections. Its also sleeved, quiet and cool.
