I ain't no hardcore SETI cruncher..in fact I only run the graphical version as a screen saver but in the last few months I've managed to get together about 100 WUs and 500+ hours of CPU time. Whilst I don't do much I'd be happy to join team AT...Whats the easiest way to enrol?

No read the FAQs plz...its late and I've had a hard day 🙂

I'm sure you know but if you ran the CLI version instead of the screen saver, you'd probably double your daily output

Yeah I know but as I said...I aint a hardcore crucher and I like the pretty graphics 😱

Edit: Right, I've caved..I've installed the Client version with SetiSpy..lets see what it does for my WU times!
 
yeah, with Seti CLI running (any seti client i think) runs as an idle process in windows which means, it does not act like a program and demand cpu time, instead it uses unused time by the cpu to run. btw Welcome to the TeAm!

I was under the impression thats how the GUI version works too...it ONLY takes idle CPU cycles 😕

You are correct, both the GUI and CLI only use spare CPU cycles but the GUI client takes much processing power to display the pretty graphics. All of us "hardcore" SETI crunchers use the CLI client. 😉 You will nearly half your CPU times with the CLI client. 🙂
