hey
I am using thinkpad t430s. I am having some problems with the way keys function in Win10. My left alt key functions exactly as it should. But the right alt key many times does not work or performs slightly different functions when I try to do anything.

This problem never happened in Windows 7. In that both the alt keys performed the exact same function everytime. In windows 10 it feels like the left alt key works everytime but the right alt key works very rarely.

I have disabled all options in the Keyboard accessiblity settings.

Please help.

I just tried what you said but it did not help. My BIOS got updated but the problem still remains.

To help further explain the problem I made a small video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YfUziuS41So&feature=youtu.be

00:03 I use left-alt+f4 in chrome (works)
00:10 I use right-alt+f4 in chrome (no response)
00:29 I use left-alt+f4 in file explorer (works)
00:38 I use right-alt+f4 in file explorer (no response)
01:05 In VLC I use alt+right arrow which should forward video by 10 seconds (works fine)
01:15 In VLC i use right-alt+right arrow .... should perform the same function as left-alt but it is causing video to jump by 5 minutes

You have to setup Hotkey features from the 2nd link patch..

"<Lenovo Patch Utility>
If issues happened in the above sub package functions on your computer, this program would enable to apply suitable fix immediately.
If this package has been installed, updating (overwrite-installing) this package will fix problems, add new functions, or expand functions as noted below."

People have done it.. Google is your friend..

ya I did that also. still no change. My hotkeys already work perfectly. There is no problem with fn keys. The only problem is with right alt button.
