i really did consider it ....but everything seems real expensive right now. m/b's are pricey and out of stock .... cpu will probably be tough as hell to get also for the next fear months

Looks solid, but really a marginal upgrade from what you currently have.

I suggest wait a month or so, or atleast 2 weeks for core 2 duo.

If possible get 4GB ram.

Try to get X2 500 which is around 300$. or atleast X2 4600 around 240$ or so.
