Rift PvP?

What kind of PvP does Rift have? What percent of the game is PvP?

I get the feeling this is a PvE game with a little PvP thrown in, WoW style.

I want to know this as well and especially if there are PVP servers where there are less restrictions on it, and can people gaygate(teleport) out of combat easily or not.

Its mainly a pve game with pvp as a afterthought like wow.

World PvP seems more much interesting on Rift. While WoW originally had a few world bosses, modern WoW raiding is entirely instanced. In rift, the rift events are all outdoors and offer very significant rewards in both XP and items. This means that they could become very contested events with world PvP, with a real reward for the winners.

That said, I am only level 29 (50 is cap), so I am not sure how things will turn out in the endgame.

I would have to disagree with him.

The game has warfront zones, like in WAR where each side has those own area in a zone for questing and such and where they meet it is PvP warfronts with daily quests and such. You start to see a lot of the opposing faction in these zones.

You don't come across them till you are in your mid to late 20's with the gorge being the first one that you share a zone with, then the next one is where they the pvp dailies and the warfront parts are in.

PvP wasn't tacked on like wows, there is a lot more consideration and you can tell it was planned. You just need to get out of the noob zones before they start working you into it. By the time you start encountering it, your character has most all their base abilities and you know how to play fairly well.
