I got my code via email. I'm giving out a couple to friends, so I'll 3 that I can give away if needed.

EDIT: Forgot about a couple of guys I work with who might want the code, so I might only have one left unless they don't want to trial it. I'll update once I figure out exactly how many I'll have.

Hey guys;
I've been trying to locate any kind of trial / try out / so on thing for Rift, before I will decide whether to purchase or not as I don't like to jump heads in into something I don't know or didn't try, and this even seems to be great opportunity for me to try it out.
A free code from any of you who have some to spare would be really great and make my decision much easier.

I'd like one if you still have any. I have a rift account myself but I didn't get this email, and I have a friend who would be interested in trying it.
 
I'm in... but do we have to wait to download the game? I don't see an option in account management to get it now.

I would imagine you would need to download the client, yes. Here are the instructions from the email I got:

Visit www.RIFTgame.com/en/ally for instructions on how to apply your Ally Code.

This Ally Code will grant new players (excludes existing RIFT subscribers) a digital download of RIFT and access to certain features of this game during the Allies of the Ascended Event (see above for event dates). You will need to have or create a Trion Worlds Account to participate in this event.

RIFT requires a recurring monthly subscription fee and an internet connection (for which the player is responsible) to play. In order to continue playing RIFT upon conclusion of the Allies of the Ascended Event, the player must purchase the game software at a retail store or via digital download and update their Account information with a valid credit card or official Game Time Card to pay the recurring subscription fee. The first subscription fee will be charged upon conclusion of the thirty (30) days of gameplay time included with initial game purchase.

Yeah, I had to do some Googlin' to find that link and then forgot to go back to it after I successfully signed up. The site did say that the link should have been in my user control panel, but it wasn't. Oh well... it's downloading the 8gb or so.
 
Its about 8GB with an additional ~1.5GB for patches.

I can give out a code as well. Do not think i'll be giving it out to anyone I know (they do not have time this weekend)
