Aren't we done with the "the" bands yet???

Doubt it, what with the success of The Killers and the retro fad.

You know, I hated The Killers at first, especially with their first single, but I bought the CD anyway and it's pretty awesome. I must've listened to it 7 times in the past week.

Yep, the music really grows on you. I consider Mr. Brightside one of the top 50 opening songs of all time. that first track doesn't really count.

I like The Killers as much as the next guy and like tons of other "the" bands, but this is getting past ridiculous, no?

EDIT: Just noticed I have lyrics from The Shins in my sig, for christ's sakes...

The rest of their cd sucks though. I looked them up after hearing that commercial and then listened to the whole cd on Rhapsody, and yeah, that's the only decent song.

I like the first one :|

I pretty much like the whole CD, minus Somebody Told Me.

I didn't get into any of the other "The" bands. Beyond the singles they released back when I listened to the radio on a daily basis, I didn't have to hear them.

I think they are Swedish or something like that.

edit: yup, swedish

edit 2: check out the Mogwai song on there, Mogwai = god (if the big man ever had a band that is)
