Ridiculously bright light to the NW sky

Scouzer

Lifer
Around here, at least. Above the moon.

Any ideas what it is? Its not a plane, I checked with my binoculars. No noticable movement over 10mins.

Is it one of those comets??? I thought they were only visible in the southern hemisphere...

Sorry, Edmonton Canada.

Is it Venus??? I thought it was a little high for that, but I could easily be wrong.

I have never seen something this bright.

Sweet Jesus, please let it be a giant asteroid. Please, I'll never ask you for anything ever again *prays*

Edit: Just went and looked at it. WTF?

*sigh* Screwed again.

Sorry. Pray for volcanic activity. Maybe you will get your ELE from Yellowstone .

Yeah, but it just wont be the same. With an asteroid strike you get the earthquakes, tidal waves (in the event of a water landing), volcanic activity, etc.. It's the ultimate combo meal. Oh well, I'll continue to hold out hope.
