A man and his son are both in a wreck and sent to different hospitals on oposite sides of the town. The son has to be rushed into immediate surgery. When he gets there the doctor says, I can't operate on him, he's my son. How is this possible?

the son that is rushed to the hospital is the dad, the doctor in the hospital is the dad's dad. AKA the Sons grandfather.

It was on The Cosby Show, so most of America has heard it. :p

By the way, it should be you're dumb, not "your."

there should also be a semicolon or period between easy and you're.

Are we sure the doctor is telling the truth, maybe he wasn't out of surgery early for a round of golf.

I heard that joke years ago, and the setup line by the doctor was something like this:

"Brothers and sisters, I have none, but this man's father is my father's son".

So in that version, the doctor is the patient's father.

The one presented here isn't even a riddle. If the father is also a patient, and the doctor claims the boy is "my son", then the doctor could only be the mother. Duh, that's no riddle.

Only worked in the old days, when 99% of all doctors were male.
