Ridding Usage Tracks

I have run SpyBot and emptied my history and cleared all offline content. I cannot rid myself of some items in my search bar. One of them is "picturetrail", and another is a "hotornot" entry. It also shows up in my Start--->Run list. How do I completely rid myself of all these tracks? Thanks a lot.

What do you mean by "search bar"?

Sounds like spyware to me. Click START>RUN>MSCONFIG and take a look at the startup tab. Disable anything you don't need to run at boot from there.

Also try Ad-Aware. Spybot doesn't get updated often enough, IMO, so it's most likely lacking some newer spyware items.

I meant the searchbar in IE. Also, it shows up in when I go to start--->run. Down the list is picturetrail. How is Ad-Aware now? I remember sometime back it was having problems. Thanks
