Ricoh pulls out of CD-RW market in US...

I see over at Storage Review they are reporting that Ricoh is going to stop selling CD-RW's in the US.

Sounds like they just dont want to do tech support for the USA. I dont blame them

They are still going to have user support and technical service.

But when they dont have any more "ricoh" drives on the market they wont have people calling

I take that "support and technical service functions" as them saying: we will still support our current product and user base.

Why? most Ricohs were rebadged by other companys in the first place.
