Ricoh MP9120 Help

Hi Folks,

My Ricoh MP9120 CRR/DVD worked fine on my old rig running win98SE. I now have it in my new rig running W2K SP2. I just bought a bunch of Memorex 80 min CDRs. The damnable drive will not recognize these CDs, but it will recognize my nearly finished stock of Sony 74 min CDs. Help. I used these very same memorex CDs in WIN 98SE. I am currently running the bundled Prassi Primo CD. Would using Nero manke any difference.

Thanks.

Nortexoid ... Thanks. I tried Nero and no luck. Any idea where I can get updates? I checked the Ricoh website, but that seems to be a waste. I'm wondering if it is the difference in media. 74 min CDRs burn fine, but not 80 min.

It may just be the stuff from Memorex. I have the same drive (luvin' life) and duplicated my entire music CD collection onto 12x 80-min Samsung CD-Rs. Not a single problem. However, I recently purchased some 16x 80-min Imation CDRs that would not work in this drive. In fact, these Imations would only work in my SCSI Plextor at work!

Try a different brand.
