Boy, there's just an INCREDIBLE difference when seeing magic done on TV and then in real life.
I was sitting right up front about 4 ft from the stage, and everything was just unbelievable. The showgirl that floated right up in mid air was just stunning. After seeing the FOX special I was very skeptic of the show and was really trying to spot the secrets. They said there was some sort of lift thing in the back, and unless it was painted with invisible ink, I just could not see it.
He started by putting the girl on a board supported by chairs. He then removed the chairs and she just remained still. She then floated another 20 ft or so, until he followed her up, and brought her down. He even took a big ring thing and slid it through, showing no strings or anything lifting her, and it looked completely legit from about 6 ft away.
Can anyone explain it?
He also did the standard make this disappear and reappear tricks, and at one point he "disappeared" from the stage and came in from the back. Just awesome.
If you ever go to Las Vegas, you just have to see his show. It's totally worth the $8. It was incredibly funny as well..I laughed until I cried during his performance. If you're ever amused by magic on TV, you'll be stunned a million times more in real life.
