Rick Santorum wrong again - now fighting President Kennedy on religion

I'd rather the thread stay on track and discuss Kennedy, Santorum, religion in politics.

JFK was a 'war hero' and Reagan wasn't but that says little about their presidencies.

Perhaps the most notable are that JFK learned in the war that military bureaucracies are incompetent and waste lives, and Reagan learned the importance of war PR.

JFK used to write letters home from the Pacific about the criminal idiocy of the admirals, and it helped make him very cautious about sending anyone into battle.

On the other hand his experience as a lowly Lieutenant helped the joint chiefs be contemptuous of him as their commander and chief, our youngest president.

It was one thing to serve under Eisenhower, and quite another under this kid.

My apologies if you feel I diverted your thread with a few gentle cybr jabs at my favorite forum stooge. I at least refrained from referring to Candidate Santorum as "American Taliban", knowing what depths of tortured semantics he would plumb in attempting to deny the analogy.

You may remember I commented in an earlier thread about Candidate Santorum on the irony, contrasting Senator Kennedy's pledge not to impose his religious beliefs on his fellow citizens with Candidate Santorum's decision that imposing his religious beliefs on his fellow citizens should be the cornerstone of his campaign. I admit I never expected even him to be stupid enough to state it so explicitly. I certainly never expected him to express such revulsion at the idea that an American Theocracy was undesirable.

Ya when Ricky said that . I went numb. I couldn't believe my ears . You know Romney Paul and newt are going to be all over this . The rest of the elections should prove interesting . As Rick killed himself . The only way he goes onward is threw election fraud. The problem is the Dem-ons are best at election fraud. I can think of only 1 time the rep . beat the dem-on at their own game was in fl. when bushes brother was in power in FL. Obummer had 1000s of dead people voting for him. Newt had over 900 dead people votes in recent SC vote.
