As a complete conservative leaning person - I can safely say I don't want him as our nomination. But to bash him? Why don't you go elect some more media actors based on "Oh! I know that name!"

Low cost of living, no state income tax, and tons of large employers. Even Toyota is moving operations from California to dfw. Natural gas boosts Texas but it's far from the only reason the economic situation is fairly decent here. Rick perry has not much impact either way, he's just another corrupt politico.
