Bash him all you want, Texas is CRUSHING every other fuckin' retarded state that cries about having to smell a hot sauce.

As a complete conservative leaning person - I can safely say I don't want him as our nomination. But to bash him? Why don't you go elect some more media actors based on "Oh! I know that name!"

I hate Texas and want to get the fuck out... but business wise they have everything nailed down for a successful economy. It didn't even budge during the collapse where every other state was shitting bricks.

LOL It's not just oil receipts. They are playing off states who try to do something for people which costs money and bringing companies in. Meanwhile 6m people are uninsured in TX. Total race to the bottom. TX is like China in USA.

Brings new meaning to the phrase "As (insert state here)goes, so goes the nation".

I guess in the near future, the new middle class will consist of struggling millionaires-wanna-be-billionaires and the rest of the nation living in poverty stricken squalor. Hmmmmm....that somehow has a familiar ring to it.

That has very little to do with it. There is oil gathering all over this nation. It's the concept of enticing business to move-in. He gave a straight up offer to Siracha of "Come down to Houston, we won't bitch about the smell and I'll cut your tax rate in half"

Not Rick Perry.
That is one ignorant cracker.
He's too far right for the GOP mainstream anyway.
He's too dumb for me.

Low cost of living, no state income tax, and tons of large employers. Even Toyota is moving operations from California to dfw. Natural gas boosts Texas but it's far from the only reason the economic situation is fairly decent here. Rick perry has not much impact either way, he's just another corrupt politico.

Bullshit. Texas unemployment jumped way up, if not as far as in some other states. What saved them were laws that inhibited speculation in Real Estate.

Colorado's unemployment rate isn't significantly different than Texas-

Yeh, the land of hippy-dippy marijuana legalization. Go figure.

IIRC he was an active duty C-130 pilot in the Air Force for the minimum time required to repay his ROTC scholarship and left as a captain. You can't exactly be a dummy and a pilot. Same for W.

What airframe do you fly?

Weak Nebor, and I'm not talking about defending an AWOL coke head either.

Here I thought we were talking about brains and nepotism. I guess Bush scoring in the bottom 25th percentile for flight school entry and having a string of arrests and traffic violations under his belt, yet still getting selected over more qualified, longer waiting applicants just doesn't really speak to those issues huh?

Silly me.

Yeap, I can see it all now. Rick Perry POTUS, Ted Cruz VP, Cheney SECSTATE, Rumsfeld gets his old job back, McCain gets assigned as Ambassador to Russia and Rush Limbaugh gets the cherry on top with his being recuited as Rick's press secretary and brain trust behind the throne.

And the Tea Party candidates takes the House and Senate.

Awesome.

Denial has everything to do with your definitions.

It's like a group of 10 people, 9 of whom have no money, but one has $1000.

Seeing as how the average net worth is $100, you say they're doing fine.

Seeing as how the median net worth is $0, I say you're full of shit.

I want preparation specifics! Is he getting a better handle on the number of things he can actually remember? Tattooing his points on the back of his hands?

And since it needs to be said - he'd still prolly be better than Obama. At the very least, he's too stupid to do as much damage.

From a purely partisan viewpoint, I understand the sentiment. But when the sh*t hits the fan-as it has for every modern president since the mid-1920s-I want a president who can think on his feet.

But I bet David Letterman will consider postponing his retirement if this comedic goldmine does actually run again.

As a practical matter, he had his chance and blew it.
