Another cop out by you! 1/10!

Like I've never seen Bush associates stick up for the guy, c'mon now. I agree he has a mind for things that matter to him; personal relationships, baseball, fishing, what have you.
But as we've seen since the 60s, that kind of 'reckonin' doesn't yield impressive results even when benefiting from connections and handouts. Not much of a student. Not much of a pilot. Not much of a business man. Not much of president either, unfortunately. We're going to be paying in green or red for the after effects of his office for decades to come, both here and abroad.

I'll spare you the mountain of links because we've derailed enough most likely, but do let me know when you hear about Bush starting his lucrative and insightful university / Fortune 500 lecture circuit. Or if he starts teaching something at the college level. Pretty much anything that sounds scholarly or distinguished that doesn't involve finger paint I guess is what I'm getting at. Thanks.

More than likely he was firing blank rounds......just like what he was firing in the last presidential debates he participated in.

Funny how his God decided that he shouldn't be the one to have the ability to decide whether we should rain down a nuclear holocaust on the world or not. ;)

Texas has done OK financially because it has a very simple method of running the state.

It lays out priorities on where to spend money:

1. Any and everything that is pro business is good. In the case of two competing businesses whoever donated more wins (see directly selling cars to customers).

2. Once all business needs are met (and only then) pursue any social conservative (read Evangelist) agenda items you can hit.

3. If it costs money and isn't explicitly pro business or part of a social agenda then cut it until the budget works consequences be damned.

Then they do this every two years.

Texas is a microcosm on what the extreme side of pro-business can do and it shows both in the number of businesses that move there and how well it rates in things like uninsured rates.

And the exact reason Rick Perry will lose - he's too stupid to have the self-awareness to lead him to the conclusion that he has zero chance.
